 Jun. 22, 2012 Source: Great Plains Chemical and Meers Pest Solutions joint news release We are sad to report the passing of Jerry Meers owner of Great Plains Chemical and Meers Pest Solutions. Jerry was an associate member of the Texas Seed Trade Association for many years and provided fumigation and pest control for most of the seed companies in the Texas Panhandle and High Plains. Jerry was the epitome of a Texas Gentleman and was an accomplished auctioneer among many other talents. Jerry passed away Saturday June 16, 2012 and services are today, Wednesday June 20, 2012, at the First Baptist Church, 2201 Broadway, Lubbock, TX In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of the following: South Plains Food Bank (4612 Locust Ave., Lubbock, TX 79404), American Museum of Agriculture (PO Box 505, Lubbock, TX 79408), or Gilbert Herrera Evangelistic Association (2201 Broadway, Lubbock, TX 79401) Please keep the Meers Family in your prayers.
