INT'L PLANT NUTRITION INSTITUTE ELECTS NEW OFFICERS

New officers of the Board of Directors of the International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI) were elected May 20, 2012. The election took place at the IPNI Board meeting held in Doha, Qatar, in conjunction with the 80th Annual Conference of the International Fertilizer Industry Association.
Mr. Steve Wilson, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of CF Industries Holdings, Inc., in Deerfield, Illinois is the new Chairman of the IPNI Board for a two-year term. Dr. Mhamed Ibnabdeljalil, Ph.D., Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Raw Material Procurement at OCP Group in Morocco was elected Vice Chairman of the IPNI Board. Mr. Jim Prokopanko President, and Chief Executive Officer of The Mosaic Company, in Plymouth, Minnesota was elected Chair of the Finance Committee.
Mr. Joachim Felker, Member of the Board of Executive Directors, K+S Aktiengesellschaft, Kassel, Germany, concluded his term as Chairman of the IPNI Board of Directors and was recognized for outstanding leadership and service in that role since 2011.
Dr. Terry L. Roberts continues as President of IPNI. "We appreciate the support and dedicated service of these industry leaders as we promote nutrient stewardship in global food security. As Chairman of the IPNI Board and in other key leadership roles, Joachim Felker has been a very positive force in expanding the agronomic research and education programs of IPNI around the world," Dr. Roberts emphasized. "We look forward to continued progress with Mr. Wilson, Dr. Ibnabdeljalil, and Mr. Prokopanko in their new roles."
