NEBRASKA FARMLAND VALUES UP 34% FOR THE YEAR

The rise in the value of Nebraska agricultural land proved even stronger than originally reported.
In our March 12 issue, we reported preliminary findings of a record 31% annual rise. Now the final results show a 32% increase - the largest in the 34-year history of the University of Nebraska- Lincoln survey.
The statewide average all-land average is pegged at $2,425 an acre.
Meanwhile, the statewide average value of dryland cropland with no irrigation potential is recorded at $2,485 an acre, up 34%; the value of dryland cropland with irrigation potential is $4,355, up 36%; the value of tillable grazing land is $1,010, up 27%; the value of non-tillable grazing land is $585, up 19%; the value of hayland is $1,245 an acre, up 27%; the value of gravity irrigated cropland is $5,365, up 32%; the value of center-pivot irrigated cropland is $5,835, up 34%.
