NORTHERN U.S., CANADIAN CORN GROWERS MOVING AHEAD ON BUILDING FERTILIZER PLANT
Red River Farm Network reports:

A steering committee, which is made up of corn growers from North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and the prairie provinces of Canada, will move forward with plans to build a fertilizer plant.

This project is moving beyond feasibility studies and is now in the business planning stage.

Nitrogen fertilizer usage is expected to continue to increase in the Northern Plains, creating transportation advantages for a regional fertilizer facility.

Direct farmer ownership of the plant is seen as another advantage for this plant.
