FARM CREDIT ANNOUNCES RURAL COMMUNITY GRANT FUND FOR WESTERN NORTH DAKOTA

In recognizing the importance of rural communities supporting the mineral development in western North Dakota, AgriBank, FCB, FCS of Mandan and FCS of North Dakota are pleased to announce the establishment of the Rural Community Grant Fund.

AgriBank CEO Bill York states, "It is our privilege to establish the Rural Community Grant Fund. As a responsible corporate citizen, we believe it is important to partner with the rural communities impacted by the mineral exploration in western North Dakota. This fund will provide an opportunity for residents to seek grant money annually for projects and programs to build, enhance and sustain their communities well into the future."

Grants up to $50,000 will be available within the Rural Community Grant Fund to facilitate infrastructure improvement and/or development initiatives encompassing housing projects, health, safety and environmental programs, medical facilities, educational programs and more.

"The impact of oil exploration has been significant in western North Dakota," said Claude Sem, CEO, Farm Credit Services of ND. "All the residents of this area have been affected in one way or another. Farm Credit and AgriBank are pleased to offer this grant program for projects that will enhance our communities and positively influence the area."
