Source: GreenStone FCS news release

Jeff Sommerfield and Ben Spitzley have been promoted to vice president positions within GreenStone Farm Credit Services' Commercial Lending Unit (CLU). The CLU team assists large agriculture producers and agribusinesses throughout the cooperative's territory with their financial needs.

Sommerfield will oversee a team managing non-dairy CLU customers, while Spitzley will oversee a team managing dairy-related CLU customers throughout GreenStone's territory. Sommerfield and Spitzley will each continue to manage a small portfolio of clients.

"Both Jeff and Ben bring a great deal of experience and passion into their new roles," said CLU senior vice president, John Jones. "Promoting Jeff and Ben from within into these new roles will ensure a seamless transition for our customers and the other members of the CLU team."

Sommerfield is a Ferris State University graduate and has held various positions at GreenStone throughout his 25-plus year career. Sommerfield resides in Munger, Michigan with his wife and two sons and enjoys spending time with his family, and playing sports in his spare time.

Spitzley attended Michigan State University (MSU) and joined GreenStone immediately after graduating in 2002. Spitzley and his wife reside in Grand Ledge, Michigan with their three children. In his spare time, Spitzley enjoys being outdoors and following MSU athletics.
