Jul. 5, 2012 Source: Agri Marketing magazine The portfolio of stocks organized by Agri Marketing magazine was up 19% for the first half of the year, compared to the Dow Jones up 5%, S&P 500 up 8% and Nasdaq up 14%. The Agri Marketing portfolio is comprised of 30 companies who have significant agricultural interests including seed, crop protection, plant nutrient, farm equipment, animal health and other products purchased by U.S. farmers and ranchers. Since its inception on January 1, 2006, the Agri Marketing portfolio has gained 130% compared to the S&P 500's gain of less than 1%. The half's five biggest gainers were: 1. American Vanguard...+107% 2. MWI Vet Supply...+62% 3. Valmont...+39% 4. CF Industries...+38% 5. Agrium...+36% None of the companies' stock price decreased.
