WOODRUFF SWEITZER ACQUIRES PARADOWSKI CREATIVE Jul. 5, 2012 Source: Woodruff Sweitzer news release Woodruff Sweitzer has acquired Paradowski Creative, an independent agency based in St. Louis, Mo. The acquisition took effect July 2. Each agency will retain its individual agency name. Woodruff Sweitzer has realized tremendous growth over the past few years, adding clients in agribusiness, packaged goods and animal health. The agency had been searching for a like-minded independent agency that shares a creative and entrepreneurial-spirited culture and will bring expanded expertise, including digital offerings to its clients. Paradowski Creative fit the bill. "Growth with our existing and new clients has increased our need for additional capabilities and resources," said Terry Woodruff, agency president. "Paradowski Creative brings expertise in designing award-winning consumer interactions with a fast-growing digital and mobile application practice, which are areas we need to expand." Alex Paradowski, who founded the agency 35 years ago, plans to retire from the business to focus on his personal art and other creative interests. Nila Paradowski, principal, Paradowski Creative, will remain at the agency focusing on new business development with responsibility for the firm's account management team. Gus Hattrich, hired in 2011 as agency president, will continue in his role. "I've always thought that if I would ever sell the agency, the new leaders would maintain our agency's culture, continue the strong growth we have achieved, and maintain the creative integrity that we've worked so hard to establish," said Alex Paradowski. "All of that will remain with Woodruff Sweitzer, and with Gus leading the agency." Paradowski has built an organization that specializes in "intelligent design" - the practice of aligning strategy, creativity, and execution to achieve more effective brand interactions. Hattrich was tasked with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the agency and to create an integrated communications firm built on the strong creative tradition Paradowski established in 1977. Paradowski Creative has achieved significant new clients wins including agency of record for the State of Missouri and Cutex Nails, plus branding, digital and promotional assignments for Brown Shoe, The Wine Group and the Radio Arts Foundation of St. Louis. This is in addition to the award-winning work for its roster of clients including Monsanto, Anheuser-Busch InBev and Solae.
