WHEAT FOODS COUNCIL LAUNCHES "WHEAT SAFARI" PROJECT
Source: U.S. Wheat Associates

Within in the United States, the mission of the Wheat Foods Council (WFC) is to help increase awareness of dietary grains as an essential component of a healthful diet. We know that the U.S. wheat foods market is unique, but many of our customers may be able to adapt some of the successful WFC activities in their own markets.

Just last week, for example, WFC took top nutrition bloggers, social media representatives and nutrition influencers on a "Wheat Safari" to see how U.S. wheat gets from the field to the table. It was a fun and successful way to demonstrate the healthfulness and nutritional benefits of wheat foods.

"We wanted to tell this story because consumers say they are confused about nutrition and how to eat healthfully, including how to work more whole grains into their daily diets," said Judi Adams, president of the Wheat Foods Council. "The Wheat Safari helped us educate the people who influence consumer food choices while building long-term relationships for future activities."
