Jul. 30, 2012 Source: American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers news release The American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) will host AgroNomics, Vision 2013 - a U.S. Agricultural Investment Conference & Trade Show in Indianapolis, IN, October 29 - November 2, 2012. The conference is designed to bring land investors and fund managers together with the rural land experts who provide management, valuation, consulting and sales expertise for America's farmland. The conference will be held in conjunction with the ASFMRA 83rd Annual Meeting at the Westin Indianapolis downtown. According to conference chair, Paul Joerger, AFM, "We are excited about all that the AgroNomics Conference has to offer this year. We have more trade show exhibitors than ever signed up to attend and a list of speakers and program sessions that is unmatched. It is going to be an outstanding opportunity to learn and to network. " The AgroNomics conference features multiple days of training and program sessions in addition to an industry trade show. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from DuPont Pioneer's North America Marketing Director and Chief Agricultural Economist, Steve Elmore; Wells Fargo's Senior VP and Agricultural Economist, Dr. Michael Swanson; Dr. Otto Doering from Purdue University's Agriculture Economic Department; New Mexico State University Regents Professor and Dean of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences, Dr. Lowell Catlett; and many more high profile agricultural experts. Topics will range from What's Ahead for Global Agriculture to Investing, the Farm Bill, Turning Farm Data into Land Value and the emergence of 'LifeStyle Agriculture'. The idea to bring investors and the rural land professionals of ASFMRA together under one roof started in 2011 with the increased interest in farmland as an investment choice. The AgroNomics conference was developed and was combined with the Annual Meeting of the American Society in an effort to meet the needs of all parties involved in the farmland investment transactions.
