ELANCO NAMES NEW DIRECTOR, TECHNICAL CONSULTANTS FOR ITS BEEF UNIT

Elanco has promoted Dr. Carl Guthrie, DVM, to the position of director, technical consultants for the beef business unit. Guthrie will lead a team of 13 professionals conducting post-product-approval research and providing technical support to U.S. feedlot and stocker operations. In the coming months, Guthrie will relocate to Elanco headquarters in Greenfield, Ind.
Guthrie has been with Elanco for 17 years, most recently as a sales manager for the stocker sales district, where he was instrumental in the creation and growth of Elanco's beef business in that market. Prior to that experience, Guthrie was a technical consultant for Elanco beef customers, and before joining Elanco he owned a private veterinary practice in Nebraska. Guthrie earned his doctorate in veterinary medicine and bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Okla.
