Sep. 4, 2012 Drovers/CattleNetwork reports: American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) President Bob Stallman will help lead the Farm Bill Now rally at 11 a.m. EST Sept. 12 on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Joined by Roger Johnson, president of the National Farmers Union, Stallman and Johnson will serve as masters of ceremony for the rally, which will urge Congress to pass the 2012 Farm Bill before the legislative year ends. Farm Bill Now is a coalition of agricultural groups that have joined together to encourage the passage of the 2012 Farm Bill. A complete list of the supporting groups can be found on the Farm Bill Now website, www.farmbillnow.com. The coalition is asking Congress to pass a five-year farm bill before current farm programs expire on Sept. 30. Tweet |
