REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR AGGATEWAY ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Source:

Registration is now open for AgGateway's 2012 Annual Meeting and Conference, "eBusiness Without Walls . . . Collaboration, Integration and Innovation", to be held November 6-8 at the Hyatt Regency in Albuquerque, NM.

The conference, which attracts IT and business leaders in the agriculture industry across North America, will focus on ways to further drive the integration of processes and systems to reach common goals in sharing information and transactions.

"Even as electronic technology has created a business environment without the limitations of time, space or distance - an environment without walls, there are still many steps the agricultural industry must take to fully leverage the tools of e-business," said Rod Conner, AgGateway President and CEO. "The resulting efficiencies and cost-savings are already bearing fruit in many ag businesses; we're seeing the promise of much greater efficiencies as this collaboration and integration increase."

In his keynote address, Garrett Lofto, President of Simplot's AgriBusiness Group, will tackle the question of how companies can shape themselves to compete in a world without walls, when information moves as quickly as it occurs. Steve Cubbage, President of Prime Meridian, will explain why it's time to "connect the disconnected" within the precision industry with a common language, in his presentation, "The Precision Tower of Babel". Rick Hutley, Vice President of the Global Innovations Practice at Cisco Internet Business Solutions Group, will present his perspectives on the state of e-business. And closing up the conference, Sarah Miller Caldicott, great grandniece of Thomas Edison, will inspire attendees with her talk, "Innovate Like Edison: Integration, Collaboration and Innovation". The conference also offers valuable networking opportunities.

"Join us at the conference to learn from others that have eliminated barriers and are achieving success," said Conner.

Registration information can be found at www.aggateway.org, or by calling 202-742-5967.
