Sep. 19, 2012 BrownfieldAgNews reports: The Farm Science Review Hall of Fame will add the names of three outstanding individuals who have contributed to the success of the Farm Science Review. The 23rd class of inductees includes, Professor Jim Beurlein of Ohio State, Mike Gahn with DuPont Pionner and Dr. Bobby Moser, Vice President and Dean of the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the Ohio State University. Jim Beurlein - Beuerlein was a professor, researcher, and state Extension leader with The Ohio State University and has become a nationally known expert in small grain production - particularly soybeans. Beuerlein was very influential in the move to narrow row soybean production. He served on the Farm Science Review Program and Policy Committee. Mike Gahn - As a representative of DuPont Pioneer, Gahn built a partnership with the Review to provide in-kind donations of seed for the field demonstration plots. DuPont Pioneer's gifts became a model by which other seed companies could contribute to the continuing education of the region's farmers. Dr. Bobby Moser - Moser's passion for bringing the latest knowledge and technology to the farmers of Ohio and surrounding region are unmatched, and he has contributed greatly to the Review's recognition as a leader in the farm show industry. The induction will take place during the Vice President's Luncheon on September 18, opening day of the 50th Farm Science Review. Tweet |
