INFORMA ANNOUNCES UPCOMING EVENTS

Informa Economics, Inc., is announcing several upcoming outlook conferences, seminars and training sessions. Throughout the year, Informa provides conferences and seminars which examine topics of importance to the agricultural and food industries. Detailed and in-depth supply/demand outlooks for the major commodities are highlighted at the conferences. In addition to the Informa analysts and consultants, featured speakers are invited from all over the globe and include industry experts, economists, politicians and bankers. These seminars also serve as a means to bring Informa clients together for informative discussion and debate. With education and training programs particularly important in today's business environment, Informa Economics also offers several educational and training programs that are specifically tailored to meet the needs of agriculture, food, energy and transportation interests. The following table details some of Informa's key upcoming events.

Informa's IADI (International Agri-Professional Development Institute) programs were established in 1988 to meet the growing educational needs in agriculture, food, commodity and related industries. IADI provides cost-effective, high quality training in a variety of programs, including futures and options training as well as commodity merchandising and risk management. IADI courses typically are intensive, hands-on training experiences. The faculty is drawn from Informa Economics staff, agribusiness managers and academicians that are widely recognized throughout the industry. The focus of this training is futures and options, commodity purchasing, merchandising and risk management concepts and practices for professionals in agribusiness and related fields.

Informa Economics' Transportation and Logistics Roundtable Series is the venue to gain exclusive access to those experts in-the-know and those that move business, not only in the US, but throughout North America and around the globe. The Roundtable agenda includes all aspects of transportation and logistics, with the Roundtable Series being the forum to engage all logistical functions of business, from shipping product in, to shipping product out. Whether you use truck or have a fleet of trucks, barges, rail-hopper cars, tank cars or intermodal, air transport, or ocean-bulk and container, or you are a policy maker or industry observer, this will be a place to address and strategically assess the environment. The Transportation and Logistics Roundtable Series will draw upon Informa Economics' resource of seasoned researchers, analysts and consultants, while at the same time, engage the knowledge base of Informa and outside experts from the industry and the government.

The AgReturn Global Investments Conference is a game-changing agricultural conference in Chicago produced by a sister company of Informa's-the Institute for International Research. Informa President and Chief Operating Officer Tom Scott will be speaking on policy's impact on cropping decisions in the Americas. The event will help sharpen agricultural investing strategies by providing real insight into farmland, commodities and food. All of agriculture's hottest topics will be discussed, including lofty US farmland prices, the boon of merger and acquisition activity in the sector and how to complete an initial public offering in the space. AgReturn attracts
agriculture stakeholders from around the world, including institutional investors from pensions, endowments and foundations, high net worth individuals, private equity fund managers, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and agribusiness executives. It is an event that will provide the information needed to be successful both in the US and abroad.

This year's Annual Waterways Symposium will examine the economic and employment/jobs impacts of the nation's waterways. Waterways Council, Inc., Informa Economics, Inc., and The Waterways Journal team up to present an informative, timely event that will offer a post-presidential election view. Speakers from industry, government, academia and trade groups will address the vital impact of the rivers, waterways and ports to the domestic and world economy in terms of exports and jobs.

Among the topics will be the way ahead for the industry post-elections, what is moving on the waterways, the drought's impact on shippers and operators, transportation challenges for agriculture competitiveness, and freight policy among all the modes. Attendees include barge and towing company operators, shippers, growers, port officials, investors, transportation planners, bankers, state/local/federal government officials, US Army Corps of Engineers, consultants, and academics interested in future opportunities on an efficient inland waterways system.

Informa Economics' Fall Outlook Conference will include an extraordinary group of guest speakers, including Richard Jackson who is currently a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies where he directs the Global Aging Initiative, a research program that explores the economic, social and geopolitical implications of demographic trends in the US and around the world. In addition, Chief Global Economist and President of Decision Economics, Inc. Allen Sinai will provide a two-part discussion on the euro zone and the US/global macroeconomic outlooks, followed by a question and answer session that promises to be dynamic. Also, the conference will feature Informa's in-depth assessments of major markets and implications for the value chains via breakout sessions and an energy markets bonus session entitled Changing Energy Prices: Dramatic Implications for the US and Business.

At the Canadian IADI Grain Merchandising, Price Risk Management and Grain Contracting Program, attendees will learn highly valued market skills that include the basic understanding of merchandising and risk management; the importance of basis; how cash and derivative (futures and options) markets work and how those markets are used in price risk management strategies; futures markets fundamentals and the role of futures in hedging; how changes in Canada will impact grain marketing decisions and price risk management strategies; and the pros and cons of different types of cash market contracts.

Topics at the 16th Annual Canadian Agriculture and Food Outlook Conference include: the macroeconomic outlook and global financial issues; whether extreme weather is the new norm; as well as the situation and market outlooks for the wheat sector, the oilseeds sector, the coarse grain market, specialty crops, and the US and Canadian hog and pork and cattle and beef sectors. Discussion also will focus on marketing grain in the post-Canadian Wheat Board environment, a Washington policy update and the impacts of the US election.
