FARM BUREAU'S DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS TO RETIRE

Agri-Pulse reports:
Don Lipton, executive director of public relations for the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF), will retire at the end of October after 31 years with Farm Bureau.
Lipton was assistant director of economic communications for a non-profit research foundation before he joined the AFBF Washington office in July 1981 as assistant director of information, later becoming editor of Farm Bureau News, director of media relations and deputy director and head of public relations.
Deputy Director Mace Thornton will be acting director pending a permanent replacement.
