Sep. 28, 2012 Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) reports: Rusty Fowler of Krone North America and the AG CONNECT Expo & Summit 2013 have teamed up to enlist your support for Honor Flight Network, which supports America's veterans. Fowler is president and CEO of Krone North America and chair of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). In a video produced at the Krone North America headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee, Fowler talks about his company's support for veterans and their sacrifices. "Military personnel from Rural America have always represented a large portion of the armed forces. Krone North America and AG CONNECT are proud to support the men and women who left farms to serve on the frontlines to protect our freedoms," said Fowler. Honor Flights from 117 regional hubs transport U.S. veterans to Washington, DC, to visit and reflect at their memorials. All costs are paid by the Honor Flight Network through sponsorships and donations. AG CONNECT has made it easy for exhibitors and attendees to make donations through a featured page on the show website. To donate, simply click the 'Donate Now' button on the Help Our Heroes page and fill out the donation form. Please specify on the donation form that you heard about Honor Flight Network through AG CONNECT. Travel provided to memorials is funded by tax deductible donations to Honor Flight Network. Donors have the option to earmark their donation for their local flight hub. Top priority is given to the senior veterans - World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill. "Based on recent 2011 statistics, we are losing World War II veterans at the rate of approximately 900 per day," said Diane Gresse, executive director at Honor Flight Network. "Honor Flight Network thanks AG CONNECT, its exhibitors and attendees for helping us continue to do whatever it takes to fulfill the dreams of our veterans and help our heroes travel absolutely free." AG CONNECT Expo & Summit is January 29-31, 2013, with Preview Day on January 29 by special admission, at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri. There's no other event with the wide-ranging expertise and long-term implications of AG CONNECT 2013. Attendees can meet face-to-face with Masters & Mavericks of all kinds - from tried-and-true experts to blue-sky innovators - and take away the solid information to help them lead, grow and transform their operation. AEM is show owner and producer; it operates all its trade shows for the benefit of participants and has a reputation of delivering measureable value. AEM designed AG CONNECT to be the global trade show in North America for innovative producers and other agribusiness decision makers seeking cutting-edge technology and information.
