HARVEST CONTINUES AT RECORD PACE: 80% OF CORN, 70% OF SOYBEANS
BrownfieldAgNews reports:

USDA reports the U.S. corn and soybean harvests remain ahead of average, while winter wheat emergence is behind the normal pace due to continued dry weather in some key growing areas.

As of Sunday, 79% of this year's corn crop is harvested, compared to 42% this time last year and the five year average of 38%.

71% of soybeans are harvested, compared to 64% a year ago and 58% on average, with 96% dropping leaves, compared to 94% last year and 95% on average.

36% of the winter wheat crop has emerged, compared to 39% a year ago and 44% on average, with 71% planted, compared to 68% last year and 71% on average.

20% of U.S. pastures and rangelands are in good to excellent shape, unchanged on the week and down 11% on the year.
