The American Seed Trade Association will once again hold the largest seed industry convention in the country, Corn & Sorghum Seed (CSS) 2012 & Seed Expo, December 4 - 7, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

Back this year by popular demand, Dan Basse, President of AgResource Company, will provide the 2012 update on ag markets and trends during our general session. AgResource Co. is a domestic and international agricultural research firm located in Chicago, which forecasts domestic and world agricultural price trends. The company provides information and research to farmers, elevators, soy and corn processors, wheat millers, food companies, trading companies, importers, exporters and meat packers. AgResource's research is sold around the globe in 81 nations.

Thursday, December 6, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

This session will bring together a panel of perspectives on the growing concern of sustaining the seed industry with the necessary workforce we will need from the next generation. Moderated by Jay Akridge of Purdue University, the panel features presentations on distance learning by Ken Moore of Iowa State University and plant breeding education, by Wayne Smith from Texas A&M University.
