Oct. 29, 2012 Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) reports: AEM continues to gather major support for the Agrievolution Alliance, a global coalition of agricultural equipment manufacturing associations working together for the advancement of their members on industry issues, data exchange and public policy on a worldwide basis. Two new members - ROSAGROMASH (Russian Association of Agricultural Machinery & Equipment Manufacturers) and VDMA (German Agricultural Machinery Association) - have joined the Alliance since it completed its transition from an industry event into a collaborative working body in April 2012, bringing total membership to nine. AEM holds a seat on the group's steering committee and serves as the Alliance secretariat. Participation in the Alliance strengthens AEM's ability to collaborate with other associations on global issues and challenges facing the agriculture industry. The group's steering committee held its first face-to-face meeting October 11, 2012, in conjunction with the AgroSalon agricultural machinery expo in Moscow, Russia. During the meeting, the committee: •Established an industry issues committee to determine initiatives to be undertaken by the Alliance. •Viewed the new Agrievolution Alliance shared data site and website (to be announced in the near future). •Heard the Economic Committee report on data from all global regions represented by the Alliance. •Established a Forum Committee for further content development and coordination of the 2013 Agrievolution Forum hosted by FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry). The Forum is scheduled for December 5-6, 2013, in New Delhi, India, in conjunction with EIMA AgriMach India.
