SUKUP HOSTS DEALER MEETINGS, ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Source: Sukup Manufacturing news release

Nearly 100 dealers attended the Sukup Manufacturing Co. fall dealers meeting Oct. 23 at the company headquarters in Sheffield.

Dozens more were expected at regional meetings in Illinois, Nebraska, Arkansas and Ohio to learn about the latest Sukup products and get a sneak peak at plans for the company's 50-year anniversary celebration in 2013.

Dealers learned about the new Modular Tower Dryer, Super Wave bin floor supports, and Sukup Steel Buildings, as well as early-season discounts for ordering Sukup products.

"The turnout was great and so is the outlook for the coming year,' said Charles Sukup, president of the family-owned Sukup Manufacturing Co. "We're positioned well for 2013 with our full line of products, including the largest freespan bins, large dryers and new Sukup Steel Buildings."

A total of 95 dealers attended the Oct. 23 meeting in Sheffield, coming from throughout the Midwest as well as New York, Florida, Wyoming and Canada.

Charles Sukup said 2013 will be an extra-special year as the company celebrates its 50th anniversary.

A 90-second movie trailer-like video previewing the anniversary was shown to dealers, featuring clips from founder Eugene Sukup and sons Charles and Steve, who is chief financial officer, as well as several dealers.

"Eugene Sukup probably never dreamed that his early ideas and inventions would bring us to where we are today - 500 employees, production facility packed with the most advanced equipment available, and a family spirit that is
extremely rare in today's business world," says the video, which was produced and narrated by Sukup videographer Tim Silvey.

To view the video, click on the "About Us" tab at the top of the Sukup.com website, www.sukup.com, and look for the "Videos" link. Click on the "50th promo" video.

Charles Sukup said there will be a number of employee and dealer activities throughout the year, including contests for the oldest invoice and dealer school attendance certificate. Dealers have been asked to send in pictures of Sukup equipment and share perspectives on the company.

There will also be a series of stories on the company and long-term employees, and a special cookbook. Customers are encouraged to send in recipes.
