DUPONT PIONEER OFFERS WEED MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES IN THE ERA OF GLYPHOSATE RESISTANCE
Source: DuPont Pioneer news release

Despite the increase in glyphosate resistance cases, glyphosate has a relatively low incidence of resistance evolution compared to other herbicides. To date, glyphosate resistance has been confirmed in 24 weed species worldwide, including 14 species in North America.

The proliferation of glyphosate resistance has shown that all herbicides are susceptible to resistance given enough time and repetition of use. The recommended method of prolonging the usefulness of a herbicide is to not rely on it exclusively. Growers are encouraged to use a variety of weed management tools. Examples of best management practices include routine scouting, rotating or combining herbicide modes of action, crop rotation and tillage.
