INTERNATIONALLY-RECOGNIZED COMMUNICATOR TO SPEAK AT EVENT HOSTED BY NAMA, GROWMARK, IL FARM BUREAU
Source: National Agri-Marketing Association news release

Ann Wylie, internationally recognized for business communications will hold a morning workshop in Bloomington, IL on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. The workshop is hosted by the Heartland Chapter of the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA), along with GROWMARK and the Illinois Farm Bureau.

Wylie is the author of more than a dozen learning tools that help people improve their communications skills. Her manual "Planning Powerful Publications," published by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), has been called the "bible" of publication planning.

Two separate workshops are planned. "Think like a Reader" presents the secret to writing to persuade and to position messages in the audience's best interests. Ann shares a four-step process for making the message more relevant and the formula for determining to which message people will pay attention.

A second workshop, "Cut Through the Clutter", helps writers make every word count and make copy easy to read. Participants learn the "numbers" they need to measurably improve their copy's readability.

The two workshops are scheduled for 9 am - noon in the Illinois Farm Bureau's Smith Hall, located at 1701 Towanda Boulevard in Bloomington. The fee to attend is $105 for professionals and $35 for students and includes lunch for reservations.

After March 11, the fee for professionals is $145 and for students $48. Reservations and payment can be made by visiting the NAMA web site at http://www.nama.org/store/index.php?p=catalog&parent=25&pg=1
