Feb. 4, 2013 Source: Vance Publishing news release Vance Publishing Corporation has hired Tom Hudson in its Protein division sales staff. As Business Development Manager for the Protein division beginning on Feb. 4, Hudson will manage and develop new business with agency partners for the Drovers/CattleNetwork, Dairy Herd Management, Bovine Veterinarian and porkNetwork brands. He reports to Rick Patton, Business Development Executive - Production Agriculture Hudson brings extensive experience in sales development and account management to the growing portfolio of clients in the protein division, specifically in the digital and special projects arena. "We're extremely excited to add Tom to the Protein group, and I'm sure our customers will enjoy working with Tom," said Patton. "He brings a great deal of energy and creativity and a proven track record of extending the sales reach for the various advertisers in the agriculture space." Hudson comes to Vance from AgCall Inc. where he helped lead the development of the U.S. business unit for the project services company. Before AgCall, Hudson was with Successful Farming where he managed key national media accounts throughout the mid-south and eastern seaboard regions. Prior to Successful Farming, Hudson was with Nationwide Agribusiness, a Nationwide Insurance company where he created and incubated the company's inaugural performance development program across the sales, underwriting and risk management functions. He has lived throughout the U.S. during a 20-year career with the U.S. Navy, holding various senior leadership roles in recruiting and nuclear submarine operations.
