RECORD-SETTING AG EXECUTIVE FORUM DELIVERS QUALITY DIALOG BETWEEN MANUFACTURERS AND CUSTOMERS
Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) reports:

A record number of 170 high-level agribusiness executives and leading producers participated in the recent Ag Executive Forum in Kansas City, Missouri; they gave the event high marks for its quality presentations and candid discussion on key global issues affecting the future of agriculture.

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) Ag Sector Board hosted the event, which was held January 28-29, 2013 in conjunction with AG CONNECT Expo & Summit 2013. The next edition of the annual program will be held in January 2014, with exact dates and location to be announced later this year.

Quality Exchange of Ideas with Customers and Peers

"AEM members attend the Ag Executive Forum to hear the farmers' perspective on industry issues, gain fresh insights on the political climate and network with their customers and peers. About one-third of this year's attendees were producers, and the depth of discussion was outstanding," stated Rob Kolb, AEM Ag Sector Board chair and vice president global business development for GEA Farm Technologies, Naperville, Illinois.

A hallmark of the Ag Executive Forum is the incredibly frank exchange of insights and information from a variety of perspectives, facilitated by the fact that no media personnel are allowed to attend. This year's speakers delivered, offering their forthright takes on global industry issues and America's current legislative path.

Audience participation is key; each of the program's three panel discussions elicited significant Q&A follow-up. For even deeper perspective, an Immediate Response System posed questions to the attendees via remote control keypads and instantly displayed the aggregated responses, leading to even more in-depth and timely discussion. A group breakfast and evening reception also facilitated attendee interaction.

AEM and Farm Journal Media partner to develop and deliver the Ag Executive Forum, which is invitation-only. For more information, click here or visit the Education section of the AEM website www.aem.org.
