 Feb. 22, 2013 Source: Farm Policy Facts news release Farm Policy Facts, a diverse coalition of agricultural organizations, has released a new pocket guide to aid in its mission to educate policymakers, media and consumers about the important role agriculture plays in our economic recovery and national security. The eight-panel guide includes updated information on agriculture's contribution to our economy, the cost-effectiveness of farm policy and the importance of the "thin green line" of full-time farms which produce 80 percent of our food and fiber. The guide also includes a selection of famous quotes about agriculture from world leaders and a pie chart of Farm Bill spending. This is the latest tool in a growing outreach effort that also includes regular email alerts featuring a mix of farm policy news, detailed analysis and case studies of farm policy in action.
