BAYER TO INCREASE ITS DIVIDEND 15%

At its meeting today the Supervisory Board of Bayer AG accepted the proposal of the Board of Management to recommend to the Annual Stockholders' Meeting on April 26, 2013 that a dividend of EUR 1.90 per share be paid for 2012 (2011: EUR 1.65 per share).
"Once again, we want our stockholders to benefit from Bayer's positive business development in the past year," commented Bayer CEO Dr. Marijn Dekkers.
With 826,947,808 shares entitled to the dividend, the total dividend payment would amount to EUR 1,571 million (2011: EUR 1,364 million).
