NAT'L PORK PRODUCERS COUNCIL ANNOUNCES NEW COO, OTHER STAFFING CHANGES

Agri-Pulse reports:
John Johnson, formerly VP for strategic administration, was named COO. He was deputy administrator for farm programs in USDA's Farm Service Agency during the George W. Bush administration.
Jim Meimann, senior VP for governance and operations, and Mike Wegner, VP of communications, will retire April 1.
Meimann joined the National Pork Producers Council in 1986 and moved to the Pork Board in 2001. Wegner joined the Pork Board in 2001 after nearly 20 years in reporting and editing positions at the Des Moines Register.
