SORGHUM CHECKOFF TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR GENETICS RESEARCH
BrownfieldAgNews reports:

The Sorghum Checkoff is going to add more than $1 million to its research project with the USDA's Agricultural Research Service on enhancing sorghum genetics.

The project will continue to work on drought and cold tolerance sorghum varieties and to develop and mark important genes in sorghum.

The research is being done at the ARS station in Lubbock, Texas.
