BAYER ANIMAL HEALTH TO OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS AT ALL 28 VET COLLEGES
Kansas City Agribusiness Club reports:

BAYER HEALTHCARE ANIMAL HEALTH will offer its EXCELLENCE IN COMMUNICATION scholarship program to all 28 U.S. veterinary schools in 2014.

The program is designed as an ongoing attempt to close the communication gap between veterinarians and pet owners.

"The purpose of the Bayer Excellence in Communication Award is to help develop strong communications skills among veterinarians that will, in turn, result in healthier pets," said Cristiano von Simson, DVM, the director of veterinary services at Bayer HealthCare Animal Health in Shawnee, Kansas.

The communication scholarship awards amount to a total $72,500.

Bayer has partnered with the INSTITUTE FOR HEALTHCARE COMMUNICATION in New Haven, Connecticut, since 2001 to develop the Bayer Communication Project and its Excellence in Communication scholarships.
