NCGA SPOKESPERSON: ETHANOL GIVES HOPE TO FARMERS, RURAL COMMUNITIES
BrownfieldAgNews reports:

In addition to the positive impact it has had on corn farmers' profitability in recent years, ethanol has been very good for rural America in general.

So says National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) chairwoman Pam Johnson of Floyd, Iowa.

"Seeing those ethanol plants-they each have 40 good paying jobs-and how that ripples out into the economy, I think it's brought hope back to rural America," Johnson says.

Johnson urges NCGA members and others to submit comments to the EPA on proposed cuts to the Renewable Fuels Standard. A comment form can be found at ncga.com.
