NEW DUPONT HERBICIDE GIVES SOYBEAN GROWERS AN EFFECTIVE RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT TOOL
Source: DuPont news release

This spring, soybean growers have a new tool in the battle against resistant weeds that reduce yield and add headaches. DuPont Crop Protection has introduced DuPont Trivence herbicide, a preplant or preemergence herbicide that provides excellent burndown and residual control of challenging broadleaf weeds while supporting resistance management strategies.

"Trivence is particularly valuable to soybean growers facing glyphosate- and ALS-resistant weeds," said James Hay, business director, North America, DuPont Crop Protection. "Multiple effective modes of action tackle tough broadleaf weeds, preventing weed escapes and the spread of resistant biotypes."

Featuring three modes of action, Trivence helps preserve the efficacy of existing herbicide options when used in a strategic weed-control program. The formulation also provides reliable and long-lasting control of many challenging weeds, including Palmer amaranth, marestail, waterhemp, giant ragweed, morningglory and lambsquarters.

Trivence moves quickly through the target weed, reaching leaves, roots and shoots for consistent control. Extended residual control keeps fields clean after planting, allowing more uniform soybean emergence and better stand establishment.

Trivence performs well even under cool, wet conditions, helping growers get a jump on spring field preparation. The flexible formulation tank mixes easily with a variety of grass and broadleaf herbicides for broad-spectrum control. See the Trivence label for tank-mixing guidelines.

Trivence herbicide is included in the TruChoiceŽ rewards program, which helps growers partner seed and crop protection products for the greatest agronomic and economic advantage.

This is the latest advancement from DuPont Crop Protection, which received the Best R&D Pipeline Award as part of the 2013 Agrow Awards, a global program. For more on how Trivence can help manage herbicide resistance while improving and extending soybean weed control, visit trivence.dupont.com.
