NAT'L ASSN OF FARM BROADCASTING ANNOUNCES ORION SAMUELSON SCHOLARSHIP
National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) reports:

by Ken Root, President, NAFB Foundation

In our 70th year, we look back at more than a lifetime of professional service. Our history is proud but we have always looked to the future and providing opportunities to those entering the profession.

NAFB launched their scholarship foundation in 1975 under the leadership of Orion Samuelson with WGN Radio in Chicago, IL.

Orion was the first NAFB Foundation president and directed it for over a quarter century.

This fall, we are proud to pay tribute to Orion; naming the 100th NAFB Foundation Scholarship in his name.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange will be sponsoring the scholarship in 2014 and 2015.

All three scholarships are now dedicated to members whose legacy will live on: Glen Kummerow Memorial Scholarship, George Logan Scholarship and Orion Samuelson Scholarship.

Your financial support of college students entering our profession is greatly appreciated.

Corporate contributions from John Deere, DuPont Pioneer, Monsanto and now, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, are
beneficial but only fulfill a part of our needs.
