NOMINATIONS FOR THE WORLD FOOD PRIZE DUE NEXT WEEK
Source: World Food Prize

There is one week left to submit nominations for The World Food Prize, the foremost international award recognizing the accomplishments of individuals who have advanced human development by improving the quality, quantity, or availability of food in the world.

Nominations are due May 1; details and the online nomination form are available at www.worldfoodprize.org/nominate.

The World Food Prize is a $250,000 award created by Dr. Norman Borlaug that honors exceptional achievements and launches laureates into the international spotlight; many have been named to prestigious panels and committees, and have been invited to speak at a wide array of international events.

As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Dr. Borlaug's birth, nominations are sought of an individual or individuals having demonstrated exceptional achievement in any field involved in enhancing food production and distribution and increasing food availability and accessibility to those most in need. Any academic or research institution, private or public organization, corporate entity, or governmental unit may submit a nomination for The World Food Prize.

Please click on this link to learn more and to nominate a deserving individual. Questions may be directed to Ms. Judith Pim, Director of Secretariat Operations.
