RYAN FINDLAY JOINS SYNGENTA AS INDUSTRY RELATIONS LEAD FOR CEREALS AND DIVERSE FIELD CROPS

Syngenta announced today that Ryan Findlay has joined the company as industry relations lead for cereals and diverse field crops, including sugarbeets, sunflowers and alfalfa. In this role, Findlay will manage the company's relationships with commodity and agricultural associations. He will be based in Minnetonka, Minn.

A key focus will be ensuring The Good Growth Plan from Syngenta is embedded into the diverse field crops and cereals business in North American. The Good Growth Plan comprises six company commitments to address the global food security challenge through boosting resource efficiency, rejuvenating ecosystems and strengthening rural communities.

"Ryan brings a wealth of experience in agricultural policy and stakeholder relations," said Rex Martin, head, external relations, Syngenta corporate affairs, North America. "Ryan's commitment and passion for agriculture as well as his deep knowledge of issues affecting farmers will strengthen our industry relations team."

Prior to joining Syngenta, Findlay worked for the Michigan Farm Bureau as manager of the bureau's newly formed national government relations department. Before joining the Michigan Farm Bureau, he was office manager for former Michigan State Senator Cameron Brown.

Findlay holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Western Michigan University and a master's of business from Northwood University. He currently resides in Portland, Mich. with his wife Gretchen and two children, but will be relocating to the Minneapolis, Minn. area.
