IOWA SOYBEAN ASSN NAMES NEW PR MANAGER, RESEARCH COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
Source: Iowa Soybean Association news release

Dorothy Tate, public relations manager and Allison Arp, research communications specialist, are the newest members of the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) communications team.

In her role as public relations manager, Tate will author and distribute ISA news to key audiences and coordinate outreach to media. She'll also provide timely content for ISA print, digital and social media, draft speeches and backgrounders for ISA staff and assist in the continued effectiveness of ISA ag awareness activities.

As research communications specialist, Arp will report on key areas of research and outcomes related to the work of the On-Farm Network(R), including authoring and distributing the weekly Advance newsletter and timely columns for the Iowa Soybean Review. She'll play a key role in communications deliverables for the annual conference and work closely with the On-Farm team to increase farmer awareness and engagement in ISA research activities.

A native of Illinois, Tate was raised on a crop and livestock farm and earned a B.S. in agricultural communications and minor in animal sciences from the University of Illinois.

Most recently, she served as an account coordinator at McCormick Company where she managed multiple relationships and clients with a focus on communications strategy development and content management. Prior to McCormick, she was an assistant account executive at Osborn & Barr.

Arp joins the ISA team following communications and administrative roles with the Minnesota Soybean Council. She was raised on a farm near West Branch, Iowa and is a graduate of University of Northern Iowa where she earned a degree in communications/public relations and minor in English-professional writing.
