TRUPOINTE CO-OP OPENS AGRONOMY HUB IN MILFORD, IN
Source: Trupointe news release

A red ribbon was cut by the Trupointe Board of Directors and leadership team. Prior to the ribbon-cutting ceremony, keynote speaker Kent Yeager, Indiana Ag Liaison for U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly, spoke on impacting Indiana's ag community, modernizing the agricultural industry and the importance of economic development.

Also speaking were Larry Hammond, CEO of Trupointe, on leading with intentionality; Gordon Wallace, COO of Trupointe, about the importance of customer service; and John Waymire, Chairman of the Trupointe Board of Directors, on preparing and investing for the future.

Guests toured the facilities, where they learned about operational procedures and met sales team members, the operations crew and administration.

"We are excited to work with and serve the growers of Indiana," CEO Larry Hammond says. "Our Board of Directors and administration choose the Milford location due to the successful agricultural industry surrounding the area and the crossing of two main railway lines, allowing us to provide key resources and opportunities to the growers of Indiana."

Providing meals were the Kosciusko County Cattlemen's Association and Kosciusko County Pork Producers, with homemade ice cream by Echoes of the Past. Also helping with activities throughout the day were the Kosciusko 4-H Beef Committee, Wawasee FFA, Fairfield FFA, Northwood FFA and Warsaw FFA.

Serving growers in a 60-mile radius, the Milford hub offers fertilizer, crop protection products, crop nutrients, crop scouting, precision agriculture, application services and more. The facility mirrors the Trupointe South Charleston, Ohio, agronomy hub, which opened in spring 2013. Both facilities are designed for efficiency, accuracy and safety, with automated systems throughout.
