AGCO ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR 2014 OPERATOR OF THE YEAR
Source: ACGO Application Equipment news release

For the ninth consecutive year, AGCO Application Equipment will once again recognize North America's top custom applicators who consistently bring outstanding skill, dedication and passion to their jobs. Nominations are now open for AGCO's 2014 Operator of the Year program, which recognizes the invaluable role of these professionals in supporting the agricultural industry.

Ag retailers throughout the U.S. and Canada are encouraged to nominate their best applicators based not only on their application knowledge, customer service and performance applying fertilizer and crop protection products in the field, but also service to their local communities. In addition, this year, AGCO is encouraging growers who would like to see their custom applicator nominated to contact their ag retailer to make that request.

A panel of judges from AGCO will evaluate the nominees and select four finalists to be invited as the company's guests to attend the 2014 Agricultural Retailers Association Annual Conference & Expo to be held Dec. 2-4 in New Orleans.

The winner of the 2014 Operator of the Year award will be announced at the ARA Conference and win a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle. All nominees will receive a certificate from AGCO recognizing their nomination for this prestigious award.

Ag retailers can submit nominations for 2014 Operator of the Year at http://search.applylikeapro.com. The deadline for entries is Oct. 24.

"Past nominees for Operator of the Year have consistently stood out for the exceptional commitment they demonstrate both on and off the field, and we expect 2014 will be no different," said Mark Sharitz, director of marketing for AGCO Application Equipment.

"They are favored and trusted applicators who go the extra mile to serve their customers and demonstrate great pride in their work. And despite long hours in the field, they manage to successfully balance their job duties by volunteering time to support their communities."

Sharitz added that today's professional applicators also have to be tech-savvy, adept at operating sophisticated machines with advanced technology systems and controls that deliver greater application precision and efficiency to maximize farmers' crop production.

AGCO manufactures TerraGator self-propelled high-floatation applicators and RoGator self-propelled sprayers. The Operator of the Year program is open to all ag retailers and custom applicators regardless of the machine brands in their application fleet.
