May 25, 2006 Source: CLAAS news release CLAAS Omaha Inc., producer of the LEXION® combine, introduces an extension of its product offering for rigid and flex headers with the new 35-foot platform header. The F535 header features the company's MaxFlex™ technology, which was recently recognized with a national engineering excellence award. "CLAAS prides itself in its industry leading technology and features, and the F535 MaxFlex header means growers have a full-range of header options in various sizes to meet the unique needs of their farming operations," says Bob Armstrong, product marketing manager at CLAAS Omaha. With the new 35-foot option, CLAAS Omaha now provides growers with both rigid and flex combine headers that are 25-, 30-, 35- and 40-feet wide. The 35- and 40-foot flex headers include MaxFlex technology, featuring the highest vertical flex range in the industry, dual knife drive for greater cutting performance, and a split knife, auger and reel design for additional strength and durability. Armstrong says the MaxFlex system provides 7 inches of vertical flex, setting a new industry standard and allowing the flexible cutter bar system to harvest close to the ground in all terrain. The MaxFlex technology was recently recognized with a national engineering innovation award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. All of the flex heads offered by CLAAS Omaha can be equipped with auto contour, which enables the header to follow terrain changes automatically. Tweet |
