NATIONAL FLUID POWER ASSOCIATION TO SPONSOR PRODUCT PAVILION AT AG CONNECT EXPO
Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) reports:

Hydraulic power is something on which a modern farm depends. Without it, you can't plant or harvest corn, soybeans, or much else. Agribusiness professionals who want to know more about the latest technology that keeps their machinery running and productive can explore their interests in depth at AG CONNECT Expo 2010. The new agriculture trade show today announced the addition of an International Fluid Power Exposition (IFPE) exhibit pavilion, sponsored by the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA).

AG CONNECT Expo is slated for January 13-15, 2010 (preview day January 12 by special admission) at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

NFPA's own show, IFPE, the International Fluid Power Exposition, joins a growing list of supporting organizations and participants who will showcase the latest innovations, products, services and technology in all agriculture sectors and offer access to leading worldwide industry experts.

"Farmers are famous for being self-sufficient, people who prefer the 'do it yourself' approach," said Charlie O'Brien, vice president of agricultural services at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), which owns and produces AG CONNECT Expo. "No matter the size of a producer's operation, this show provides a great context to take the time to get a close up look at one of the things that count the most on the farm -- fluid power."

NFPA's diverse membership is at an all time high and its member companies represent the full spectrum of the fluid power industry: hydraulic and pneumatic; large and small; manufacturer, distributor, supplier and educator.

According to Eric Lanke, NFPA's executive director, the association sees AG CONNECT Expo 2010 as an opportunity for different customer groups to explore ways they can benefit each other.

"We have a longstanding relationship with AEM in many areas, including trade shows. We have found that shows organized and run by AEM provide a superior context for building alliances and for bringing customers and suppliers together. IFPE has co-located with CONEXPO-CON/AGG in the construction sector. Now we have an unparalleled opportunity to connect with those who produce and depend on fluid power in agriculture," Lanke said.

The IFPE Pavilion will offer AG CONNECT attendees and exhibitors the opportunity to see cutting-edge components, systems and controls for high-tech agriculture equipment applications. Attendees will be able to interview experts in hydraulics, which will add great value to their Orlando visit, noted Sara Truesdale Mooney, AG CONNECT show director.

"IFPE's pavilion brings an exciting new dimension to AG CONNECT in Orlando, as the IFPE show is known as a leading international exposition and technical conference dedicated to the integration of fluid power with other technologies for power transmission and motion control applications," Mooney stated.
