Weekly Comments: Nearby corn futures broke out to new 10-1/2 year highs and soybean futures hit their highest levels in nearly three years before profit taking set in on Friday. The bull move was powered by a fresh wave of spec fund buying amid heightened expectations for general price inflation in commodity prices. Long-range forecasts suggesting possible adverse spring/summer growing conditions also spurred buying interest.
