Weekly Comments: The hot action was in the livestock futures pits last week,
specifically in the live cattle market, which rallied sharply in response to
a jump in cash prices spurred by tight choice cattle supplies. Hog futures
followed cattle higher despite weak cash hog prices. Grain and soybean
futures chopped around amid a lack of fresh fundamental news. Speculative
funds continued to liquidate long positions in corn futures. Trade may remain
choppy. The next big market mover will likely be the March 30 USDA Prospective
