Weekly Comments: Wheat futures took off to the upside again last week as heavy
rains in the southern Plains and drought conditions in Ukraine reignited concerns about tight
world supplies. Corn futures also moved higher amid concerns about light
rainfall in the eastern Corn Belt. Soybean futures edged higher on the strength in grain
prices and weather concerns. Livestock futures trade was
mixed last week with live cattle futures finding support from their
discount to cash markets despite lower cash trade.
