Weekly Comments: Aggressive profit taking by the funds sent all the grain
markets tumbling late last week. The technical damage was particularly severe
in soybean futures, a market that was over-priced based on the known
fundamentals. However, as they've done several times over the past many
months, the index funds turned buyers of weakness on Monday. Corn and wheat futures
rebounded strongly, with corn now back near all-time highs.
