Comments: Most agricultural futures stabilized somewhat last week as pressure from general economic concerns eased a bit with U.S. stock markets holding above the previous week's lows. Speculative profit taking spurred by oversold market conditions provided price support. Corn and soybean futures also found support from strong weekly export sales, which showed prices were low enough to spur fresh end-user demand. Cattle futures were supported largely by speculative profit taking with beef demand concerns limiting the recovery. Hog futures, on the other hand slid under pressure from further weakness in cash hog and wholesale pork prices. Cotton futures rallied on very oversold conditions and good weekly export sales.
