Comments: Economic concerns stemming from the credit crisis continued to weigh on most commodity prices last week. The grain markets were pulled lower even though prices had already dropped below what should be each market's true value based on the known fundamentals. Strengthening cash basis during harvest is proof end users see value at current price levels. The corn harvest has been lagging well behind the normal pace due to wet fields and high moisture content. Corn yields are exceptionally good in most areas; soybean yields somewhat disappointing. Meat demand uncertainty has been pulling livestock prices lower the past several weeks. Click on the Brock logo or call 1-800-558-3431 for more info on our services.
