Comments: Soybean futures turned lower as better-than-expected rains in Argentina reduced concerns about the crop there and falling stock markets boosted worries about weakness in world demand. Corn futures were pressured by soybean declines and demand concerns, but improved export sales limited losses. Wheat futures turned lower again under renewed pressure from the weak world economy and ample world wheat supplies. Live cattle futures retreated on continued beef price weakness and bearish economic news. Lean hog futures rallied on support from strong cash hog prices despite ongoing concerns about weak pork demand. Cotton futures collapsed on renewed speculative selling following a bearish USDA supply/demand report. Click on the Brock logo or call 1-800-558-3431 for more info on our services.
