Comments: Grain and soybean futures posted further gains on support from harvest delays, technical buying and continued weakness in the value of the dollar. Corn and soybean prices moved sideways to lower after Monday, though, as overbought market conditions and drier weather forecasts spurred some profit taking. Wheat futures posted strong gains again on active technical buying, despite a shortage of supportive fundamental news. Livestock futures firmed with help from strong U.S. stock markets and the weak dollar, which spurred fund buying. Live cattle futures also found fundamental support from higher Plains cash prices, while lean hog futures were supported by wholesale pork price gains. Cotton futures found strong fundamental support from further heavy rains in Delta/Southeast growing areas. Click on the Brock logo or call 1-800-558-3431 for more info on our services.
