VET-ADVANTAGE ACQUIRES THE FOUNTAIN AGRICOUNSEL WEEKLY INDUSTRY NEWSLETTER
Source: VAM Communications news release

VAM Communications, LLC, publisher of Vet-Advantage magazine and its related digital products today announced it has acquired the Fountain Agricounsel Weekly Industry Newsletter from Fountain Agricounsel, LLC. "Since 2002, Bob Fountain and Duane Thurman have done an outstanding job of building the Fountain Agricounsel Weekly Industry Newsletter into the most comprehensive news resource for the animal health industry's top companies," said Chris Kelly, president and publisher of Vet-Advantage. "We are thrilled it will become a part of our growing portfolio of products."

The Fountain Agricounsel Weekly Industry Newsletter (being renamed The Fountain Report from Vet-Advantage as of January 8, 2016) is delivered by email every Friday to thousands of executive and management subscribers seeking to stay on top of industry news and trends.

The news is culled from hundreds of sources and is accompanied by unique, value-added content put together by Fountain and Thurman tracking the sales of publicly traded animal health companies, as well as merger and acquisition activity. The scope includes both the companion animal and livestock/poultry markets in the US and internationally. Vet-Advantage will continue to offer the Annual Index of Newsletters at a small incremental charge to subscribers, which will be available in January.

"Bob and Duane have created a powerful and well-accepted brand," said Kelly. "We want to honor that legacy while also making significant investments into the product as technology continues to transform reader expectations." To support continued success, Fountain and Thurman will remain in consulting roles moving forward. While the delivery and product will remain the same in the short term, future plans call for several enhancements such as a protected website for subscribers.

"The database of information Duane and I have accumulated over the past fourteen years is of very high value, especially when you consider how it can be organized and searched in a web-based environment," said Bob Fountain. "We are very excited to work with the Vet-Advantage team to help them bring these enhancements to market, and ultimately increase the value we bring to subscribers."
