WEST FERTILIZER PLANT EXPLOSION CAUSED BY CRIMINAL ACT
BrownfieldAgNews reports:

A federal investigation has determined the deadly explosion at a West Texas fertilizer plant three years ago was a criminal act.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) is offering a $50,000 reward to help find the person who committed the crime.

ATF special agent Robert Elder says all accidental and natural causes have been ruled out. Fifteen people were killed in the fire and explosion which destroyed the plant and hundreds of homes in the area on April 17, 2013.

The event led to increased safety procedures at fertilizer plants across the country.
